Statement by Westlife - Thursday 20th October, 2011

Westlife Gravity Jakarta

“After 14 years, 26 top ten hits including 14 number one singles, 11 top 5 albums, 7 of which hit the top spot and have collectively sold over 44 million copies around the world, 10 sell out tours and countless memories that we will forever cherish, we today announce our plan to go our separate ways after a greatest hits collection this Christmas and a farewell tour next year.

The decision is entirely amicable and after spending all of our adult life together so far, we want to have a well-earned break and look at new ventures. We see the Greatest Hits collection and the farewell tour as the perfect way to celebrate our incredible career along with our fans. We are really looking forward to getting out on the tour and seeing our fans one last time.

Over the years Westlife has become so much more to us than just a band. Westlife are a family. We would like to thank our fans who have been with us on this amazing journey and are part of our family too. 

We never imagined when we started out in 1998 that 14 years later we would still be recording, touring and having hits together.  It has been a dream come true for all of us.

Final Report Westlife “Gravity” World Tour 2011 at Jakarta

Dari beberapa sumber yg saya dapatkan akhirnyyaaa saya menyatakan Westlife Sukses menyelenggarakan Konser nya di Jakarta *HAHA* *TawaPuas*. Lagu pembuka dan sekaligus pembangkit semangat adalah “When You’re Looking Like That”, trus “World Of Our Own”, “What Makes A Man” (oouuhhh pasti sweeeeett bgt deh mereka nyanyi ini),abis 3 lagu itu mereka ganti kostum. Terus lanjut “SAFE” (wooww) and then“HOME” (Kebayang betapa Merdunya suara si Shane).. and konon katanya ada something wrong setelah lagu ini dan konser terhenti selama 30 menit, yah baiklah saya gak tertarik bahasnya… haha lanjuuttt. setelah take a break bentar mereka lanjut dgn lagu “My Love” eennn konon katanya lagiii habis ini harusnya nyanyiin 5 lagu yg tergolong *Dancing* *semeringah* *semangat* dan bisa bikin *loncat2tan* yaitu “Beautiful Tonight” (OMG ini inti konser ini kayanya) “Viva La Vida” (vokal mereka keren loh nyanyi lagu iniii..„ sayang bgt gak di nyanyiin), trus “Only Girl In The World”(lagu rihanna yee), trus “Time Of My Life” (Beuuhh mestinya di sini si niccy nari2 bohaii *apadaah*), n then “Bad Romance” namun karena something wrong tadi jd lagu2 tersebut di skip. Lanjut lagu “Season In The Sun” lalu disusul dgn lagu “You Raise Me Up”, and theennn Mereka duduk kalem dan nyanyiin lagu “I’M ALREADY THERE” (O.M.G This is so Awesome, gak nyangka bakal nyanyiin ini lagu, Keren pastinya. ampe sekarang galau gr2 ngelewatin ni lagu scr live). Selanjutnya adalah “I Will Reach You” (Yeaahh I will reach you babe, haha) lalu di lanjutkan dgn “Flying Without Wings” (yeah semuanya terbang tanpa sayapp), dann lagu selanjutnya adalah “What About Now”(Keren deh pastiii). andddd The Last Song isssssss “UPTOWN GIRL”Yeeeee ini jd lagu penutup konser….. :)) 

jadi menurut saya kesimpulannya Konser ini SUKSES BERAT,., berbahagialah yg bisa nonton dan Menatap, menyentuh, berfoto, teriak2 langsung.. You are a Lucky person. :) 

Total lagu yg dibawakan 13 lagu, padahal kt team panitia 20 lagu. gw tuh ya udah bayangin mereka nyanyi semua lagu dr album Terbarunya yaitu “Gravity Album” yang lagunya antara lain : Beautiful Tonight, Safe, Chances, I Will Reach You, Closer, The Reason, Tell Me It’s Love, I Get Weak, Before It’s Too Late, No One’s Gonna Sleep Tonight, Difference In Me, Too Hard To Say Goodbye, Please Stay. (yg dinyanyiin yang di blok doang) padahal ini konser judulnya “Westlife Gravity Tour 2011”. n parah juga I get Weak and Tell Me It’s Love and Difference In Me gak dinyanyiin.. T.T

Nnnah kan 20 lagu tuhh, khayalan gw, 7 lagu lainnya adlh : “Flying Without Wings, My Love, I Lay My Love On You, When You’re Looking Like That, World Of Our Own, Amazing, Home.” and special request gw adlh “I’m Already There and The Easy Way” ehh yg gak kewujud sepenuhnya. 

Ya sudahlahh… semua berakhir dengan penuh kebahagiaan, n gak nyangka kalo yang suka Westlife masih banyakkk… atau malah menular ke anak2 muda belia. hahaaa.. gak nyesel deh jadi Westlifers.. :) :D :*

Westlife is an Irish pop group formed in 1998 signed by the legendary Simon Cowell. The group originally consisted of; Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Shane Filan and Brian McFadden (departed from the band in 2004). They are the only British/Irish act in history to have their first seven singles to go straight to Number 1, and have gone on to sell over 44 million records worldwide, with singles such as "Flying Without Wings", "I have a dream" and "Unbreakable".

Due to the popular demand from the Westlife fan base in Indonesia, Marygops Studios confirmed the Westlife Gravity Tour on 5th October 2011 at Tennis Indoor Senayan. The Gravity Tour is the eleventh concert from Westlife, supporting their eleventh studio album “Gravity”. The tour was announced two weeks immediately after their “Where we are” tour. This tour will be bigger and better than any previous tours as they announced to have a new touring band, musical directors and possibly feature hits by many successful recording artists, such as Rihana. The group also veiled the tour to have a space theme to tie in with the title. With the 4500 pax capacity and the ticket price range between 600 thousand Rupiah – 750 thousand Rupiah and by the enthusiasm of the Westlife fans in Indonesia we are optimist that its going to be a sold out concert.
